BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla criticised Congress-ruled Karnataka government, saying, "An Islamic jihadist terrorist imprisoned in Karnataka jail is being given VVIP treatment." He added, "On one hand, from Jammu and Kashmir to Faridabad, attacks are being carried out on terrorism...and on the other hand, Congress-ruled Karnataka government is organising celebration for the captured terrorist."
