The Israeli army has said that it has bombed the entrance gate of the Syrian military headquarters in Damascus. The army's statement came soon after the sound of an explosion was heard in the Syrian capital. An Israeli strike had also hit the defence ministry in the capital, two Syrian security sources told Reuters.
