Amid escalating tensions, Israel on Monday struck Evin prison in Iran's Tehran. The prison, one of the country's most notorious detention facilities, is known to detain political prisoners, dissidents and critics of the Iranian regime. The facility is run by Iran's Ministry of Intelligence and the IRGC and has been associated with torture, solitary confinement and other human rights violations.
