Hundreds of Israeli nationals marched close to the city of Sderot, which borders Gaza. The march was organised by the Nachala organisation, which aims to reestablish Israeli settlements in Gaza after they were fully evacuated during Israel's unilateral withdrawal in 2005. Recently, Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called the Gaza enclave an "inseparable part" of Israel.
