An IT executive said his manager enforced 'no phones during work' rule without exceptions after "losing it" on seeing an employee on phone. The manager, working remotely, got furious after he couldn't contact the executive over a major server issue. He reminded the manager there were "no exceptions" on being asked why he didn't take the call during "an emergency".
