BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra condemned the vandalisation of the Ashoka Emblem at the Hazratbal shrine mosque in Jammu and Kashmir. Patra said, "The desecration of the Ashoka emblem at Hazratbal is an insult to the confluence of Emperor Ashoka and the entire country." Several people have been detained in connection with the incident.
