A 40-year-old IT consultant in Ghatkopar lost ₹35.71 lakh to a cyber scam being run through a fake trading platform. Lured by a friend into a group posing as "A2-Systematix," he used a fraudulent app that simulated profits. When the withdrawal failed and more money was demanded, he realised the fraud and filed a police complaint. An investigation is underway.
