IWAI and Uttar Pradesh government have signed ₹6,000 crore worth of MoUs for development and expansion of inland waterways network on river Ganga. The authority signed nearly 25 MoUs to boost inland waterways development during the recently concluded India Maritime Week 2025. Of this, Uttar Pradesh secured major commitments focused on expanding operations in Varanasi and along the Ganga corridor.
