IWAI has signed major MoUs to expand Northeast’s inland water transport, including Meghalaya, where DPRs are under way for developing routes on Umiam Lake and the Umngot River. The agreements aim to enhance cargo movement, water metros, and river tourism as part of a wider plan to strengthen regional connectivity.
