Indian Railways has initiated a major project to improve train travel in Jammu & Kashmir. Four Ballast Cleaning Machines are now being used to clean the stones under the tracks to make the train ride smoother. To make sure the tracks are in top condition, Indian Railways ran Track Recording Cars and Oscillation Monitoring Systems in June and July.
