Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi has been honoured as the 'Asian Filmmaker of the Year' by the Busan International Film Festival. Jafar is globally known for 'The White Balloon', 'Offside', 'The Circle' and '3 Faces'. Notably, Jafar has faced restrictions for his art in Iran and was also imprisoned along with facing a 20-year ban on filmmaking and travel.
