US President Donald Trump called for jailing Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson and Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, both Democrats, accusing them of failing to protect ICE officers as his administration deployed National Guard to Chicago. Johnson and Pritzker haven't been accused of criminal wrongdoing. Trump earlier ordered the deployment of guard troops to Portland, Los Angeles and Washington DC.
