A Japan Airlines Boeing 737 plane carrying 191 people dropped 26,000 feet within minutes en route from Shanghai to Tokyo. The plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Kansai Airport. A video showed passengers wearing oxygen masks and appearing terrified. They were given hotel accommodation for the night and 15,000 yen (about ₹8,945) each as compensation.
