Japan's trade negotiator Ryosei Akazawa met US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent for another round of trade talks as they try to reach an agreement ahead of G7 Summit. Japan is seeking a written agreement from US for exemption from additional tariffs on automotive sector. US has imposed 25% tariff on imported cars and auto parts.
