Maharashtra NCP (SP) president Jayant Patil refuted media reports claiming that he is planning to join the BJP and called it "baseless". He said he had neither met any leader of the BJP nor anyone from the ruling coalition party approached him. He added, "I am the state president of a party, and I am surprised by such reports."
