Sainsbury's has called off talks to sell Argos to JD.com, just a day after confirming discussions. The move halts JD's UK expansion after also dropping a Currys bid, though its $2.5B Ceconomy deal in Germany stands. Argos, Britain's #2 general merchandise retailer, was bought by Sainsbury's in 2016 for 1.1B pounds. JD shares are down 1.7% YTD vs. KWEB +40%.
