An 80-year-old jewellery shop owner, Girdhari Lal, was fatally stabbed by a masked man in Modinagar, Ghaziabad, on Thursday. The assailant first threw chilli powder before attacking Lal, and locals apprehended and thrashed him before handing him over to police. Lal's brother was also injured, and authorities are investigating the motive and possible conspiracy.
