Union Science & Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has called for replicating the ‘Purple Revolution’—J&K’s lavender-based success—in the Northeast to boost bio-entrepreneurship. Speaking at a CSIR–Aroma Mission meet in Mizoram, he said aromatic crops like lavender and lemongrass can drive rural income, women empowerment, and the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
