The Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers' Association (JNUTA) has condemned the new academic calendar for 2025-26 and demanded its immediate withdrawal. "This calendar is a product of some bizarre academic logic unfathomable to ordinary mortals," JNUTA wrote in a statement. It alleged that the changes seem designed not to optimise academic planning but rather to curtail faculty vacation periods.
