A study found that emotional demands at workplace and in person confrontations with colleagues could be related with upto 24% increased risk of developing diabetes. Job roles requiring constant engagement with people can be stressful and can affect workers' metabolic health, the study said. Factors like job strain or bullying at workplace may heighten chance of developing diabetes, it added.
