The 2025 Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel has been awarded to American-Israeli economic historian Joel Mokyr, French economist Philippe Aghion and Canadian economist Peter Howitt. They've been honoured for "having explained innovation-driven economic growth". Mokyr will get one half of ₹10-crore prize, while Aghion and Howitt will share the remaining half.
