A federal judge has denied California governor Gavin Newsom's plea to block US President Donald Trump's deployment of National Guard amid riots in Los Angeles. US District Judge Charles Breyer granted additional time to Trump administration and scheduled the hearing for Thursday. Notably, Newsom had called the deployment of troops "unlawful militarisation" of the city.
