Justice Rajesh Gupta of Madhya Pradesh High Court said Additional Sessions Judge Vivek Sharma appeared to have "ulterior motives" in dropping charges against an accused. Taking suo motu cognisance of Justice Rajesh's remarks made on September 12, a bench of Justices Atul Sreedharan and Pradeep Mittal said his remarks are "chilling", "disparaging" and "absolutely uncalled for".
