Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Saturday ordered an increase in the compensation announced for the families of those who died in the Bengaluru stampede to ₹25 lakh each. Earlier, the state government had announced a compensation of ₹10 lakh each for the families of the deceased. Karnataka government had fired Bengaluru Police Commissioner after 11 people died in the stampede.
