Karnataka minister Priyank Kharge's close aide and Congress leader Lingaraj Kanni was arrested by Maharashtra police in a drugs case. The Police seized 120 bottles of banned codeine syrup from Kanni's possession after he was caught selling a narcotic substance in Thane. Reacting to Kanni's arrest, BJP's spokesperson, Shehzad Poonawalla, stated, "Congress is hand in glove with drug traffickers."
