The Congress-led Karnataka government on Tuesday passed a Bill to rename Bengaluru City University as Dr Manmohan Singh Bengaluru City University, in honour of the former Prime Minister. Notably, Manmohan Singh passed away at the age of 92 in December last year. However, BJP leader R Ashoka objected to the move, saying that the Congress party hates Bengaluru.
