During IIFA Awards 2024, filmmaker Kabir Khan was asked why his film 'Chandu Champion' wasn't a commercial success despite getting critical acclaim. "What is going wrong with you and sports-drama because you're the same guy who gave us 'Chak De! India'?" the reporter asked. Kabir then corrected him saying he didn't direct the film, director Shimit Amin did.
