Filmmaker Rono Mukherjee, the uncle of actresses Kajol and Rani Mukerji, passed away on Wednesday. His funeral was attended by Tanishaa Mukerji, Ayan Mukerji, and Ashutosh Gowariker, among others. Rono is the father of actors Sharbani Mukherjee and Samrat Mukherjee. He had directed movies like Tu Hi Meri Zindagi (1965) and Haiwan (1977).
