Baazigar Directors Abbas-Mustan said that Kajol's character was expected to kill the character of Shah Rukh Khan in the original ending of the movie. They stated in the film's first draft that Shah Rukh's character was completely negative, getting into a relationship with both daughters of a millionaire and killing one of the daughters to take over the millionaire’s empire.
