Makkal Needhi Maiam president and actor Kamal Haasan filed nomination papers to contest the June 19 Rajya Sabha biennial polls from Tamil Nadu on behalf of the ruling DMK. He signed and presented the papers to officials at the Secretariat in the presence of CM MK Stalin, Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, and the leaders of his party.
