A 35-year-old man, Rajaram, allegedly murdered his 80-year-old mother, Rajeshwari, in Kasigawan village, Kanpur, after she refused him ₹40 for alcohol. The man reportedly broke open a locked door, dragged her out, and hit her fatally on the head and beat her to death. Locals caught him while fleeing and handed him over to the police.
