Jyothi Prakash, Officer on Special Duty(OSD) to Karnataka's Energy Minister KJ George, was caught by the state Lokayukta while accepting a ₹50,000 bribe to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for sanctioning an electricity connection to DR Developers. The 50-year-old, who is also an Executive Engineer with KPTCL (Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited), had allegedly demanded ₹1 lakh.
