Karnataka ministers Priyank Kharge and MB Patil criticised the Centre over low allocation to the state in the October 2025 advance tax devolution. While Karnataka received ₹3,705 crore, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar received massive shares of ₹18,227 crore and ₹10,219 crore, respectively. Kharge and Patil alleged that the BJP’s ‘vote-bank’ states received larger shares in comparison to Karnataka.
