Karnataka Congress MLA BR Patil is awaiting party orders before moving the Supreme Court regarding the ECI's complacency in probing alleged voter fraud in the Aland seat. In 2023, Patil, who was also the constituency candidate at the time, filed a complaint with the EC over fraudulent applications submitted to remove 5,994 names ahead of the Assembly polls.
