Organised under the Madya Nisheda Andolana Karnataka, several hundred women from rural Karnataka protested in Bengaluru’s Freedom Park seeking a complete ban on alcohol in the state. They have been protesting since alcohol addiction of men in their family has been causing them emotional, physical and financial distress.
