India batter Karun Nair scored 52*(98) on Day 1 of The Oval Test against England. The 33-year-old hit a Test fifty after 3,149 days. His previous fifty-plus Test score came in December 2016, when he scored 303* against England. It's the second-longest gap for an India batter between two 50-plus scores in men's Tests (excluding gap owing to WWII).
