Actress Kasthuri Shankar, arrested for remarks against Telugu community, has been sent to judicial custody until November 29. She was arrested from Hyderabad on November 16 by Chennai police after Madurai bench of Madras High Court rejected her anticipatory bail petition. Kasthuri allegedly claimed "Telugu-speaking community came as assistants to king's consort and later adopted Tamil identity".
