Amid rising cases of student suicides, and substance abuse, Kerala will pilot a national research project to build a ‘behavioural vaccine’ for youth. Jointly launched by the ICMR and Kerala government, the three-year study aims to develop an evidence-based model for suicide prevention and emotional well-being in schools and colleges under the “ICMR Multi-State Implementation Research” programme.
