A 58-year woman from Kerala, Shije Varghese and her husband, began cultivating mushrooms in a shed. After trial and error, they learned to maintain the right temperature and humidity with bio-hitech systems. In 2025, they have expanded to 6,000 beds that are capable of producing 40-50 kgs of mushroom per day and have trained over 10,000 farmers in mushroom cultivation.
