Dr Amal Suraj, 33, from Ottapalam, died after his car plunged into a canal at Thottukadavu in Vaikom, Kerala, on Friday morning. Locals alerted police after spotting the vehicle, and his body was recovered. Police suspect he may have dozed off or taken a wrong turn while travelling from Kottarakkara to Ottapalam.
