A doctor from Kerala, Dr AK Ryru Gopal, who for several years charged just ₹2 as a fee, passed away at the age of 80 on Sunday. He used to see patients as early as 3 am and at times attended to over 300 people a day. He offered medical care, especially for daily wage earners, students, and the poor.
