Kerala government has filed a suit demanding ₹9,531-crore compensation from the world's largest shipping firm MSC after its ship Elsa 3 sank off the state's coast. Kerala High Court has ordered Adani Vizhinjam Port to seize and arrest Elsa 3's sister ship Akiteta II till MSC pays the amount. Kerala government is seeking compensation for environmental, ecological and economic damages.
