Women in Cinema Collective founding member, Deedi Damodaran slammed Kerala State Film Awards' jury in a Facebook post. She criticised them for giving 'Best Lyricist' award to rapper Vedan, who was accused of rape earlier this year. She wrote, "Even if decision cannot be reversed...film jury owes apology to women of Kerala for etching such verdict into history of cinema."
