Antimicrobial Resistance, or AMR, has been recognised by the World Health Organization as one of the biggest public health challenges. Kerala has become the first state in India to release a sub-national antimicrobial resistance action plan, called the Kerala Antimicrobial Resistance Strategic Action Plan (KARSAP), to tackle AMR through a One Health approach and coordinated multi-sectoral action.
