A 23-year-old woman from Kothamangalam, Kerala, died by suicide, leaving a note accusing her boyfriend, Ramees, of assault and forcing her to convert to Islam. Police have arrested him and recovered WhatsApp chats showing he encouraged her to end her life. The case has been upgraded to abetment of suicide and physical assault.
