A study by Dimoria College and IIT Bhubaneswar examined how land use changes impact surface air temperature in India from 2001 to 2015. Findings revealed that urbanization contributed to warming in Southern and Eastern regions, while areas in Northern and North-Western India experienced cooling effects. The study highlights the need for informed land-use policies to mitigate climate challenges.
