Israel said its joint Navy and Air Force operation in central Gaza killed Abu Yusuf, the deputy commander of Hamas' Naval Police. "Yusuf took part in Hamas' invasion of Israel on October 7th and planned ambushes against Israeli Defence Force (IDF) troops," IDF posted on X. IDF called Yusuf's death a significant blow to capabilities of Hamas' Naval Police.
