Killer whales, known for their intelligence and communication, use stalks of seaweed as tools to groom each other, new research found. The marine mammals find large stalks of a seaweed called bull kelp, bite off the ends, and place them between themselves and another whale. The whales then roll the kelp between their bodies during the interaction, the study added.
