Lord Jagannath's chariot in Kolkata will now run on a new set of tyres from Russia's Sukhoi fighter jet. Up until now the chariot used Boeing tyres, but due to procurement issues the organisers approached Sukhoi as their diameter closely matches that of the Boeing tyres. The tyres are currently being installed in the chariot.
