Konkan Railway is exploring a plan to ferry passenger vehicles like cars and SUVs on train wagons during the Ganapati festival season. Currently used for trucks, the Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) system could be adapted for private vehicles. The initiative, if successful, will offer an alternative to long highway drives. Technical adjustments and a minimum number of vehicles are required.
